Finally, let us present you, ~ Old.Radio.Transmission 3.1/4 turn helical ~ each pieces were fine tuned to ensure give you great performance antenna to suit your need, better Axial Ratio compare to el cheapo circular patch antenna.

Only available at @buildfpv. Change your cheapo patch with this one and never get back to old patch. there are some benefit of helical than the cheapo patch as below :

 

1. fine tuned helical gives you better circularity due to using "real elements" compare to PCB type patch which don't perform too well at high frequency due to dialectric constant on the pcb.

 

2. Wider bandwidth than patch antenna, fortunately on it's own design helical give absolutely wide band coverage ~400mhz, all along thru 5.8ghz channel so you get best performance at ALL channel.

 

3. you can virtually choose any gain to suit your need. With 3.1/4 turn(~7.5dbi) give you around 180 coverage at 500meter distance and almost 360coverage among 100meter we had flown 3.1/4 turn to 6km using only some cheap 200mw vtx and it still not the limit, also it will give you better penetration thru the trees than any best omnis antenna out there. with 5 turn(~9dbi) helical you get 180 coverage around 350meter distance and 30% more range than 3.1/4, best distance vs coverage performance. which one better? up to your need
